General Questions

Question: This app isn't working that way I think it should. What are my options?
Answer: Send us a note and we'll work with you to figure our what's not working. Use the contact form or apps@treebetty.com and we'll do our best to get things working to your satisfaction. If not, we'll do our best to make it up to you.
Question: I'm not happy with this app and I want my money back. How can I get a refund?
Answer: Unfortunately, Apple hides all payment information from developers so we have no way of giving you a direct refund. Sorry about that.

How to get a refund using your iPhone or iPad

Apple hasn't built any links to problem reporting into the iTunes Store or App Store apps, so if you're stuck using the web on your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad as well. If it's more convenient, you can go directly to problem reporting via your email receipt.

1. Launch Mail from your Home screen.
2. Search for "Your receipt from Apple" if it's not immediately visible.
3. Tap on the receipt for the purchase your want refunded. (Unless you remember the date, there's no way to tell which receipt is which unless you tap it to open it, so you might end up tapping a lot...)
4. Tap the purchase you want to report.

Question: I just downloaded your app it's not working. What can I do?
Answer: It's possible the app somehow got corrupted when downloading to the app store. There are 2 things you should try when this happens:

1. Re-download from the app store. Just delete the app from your device and when you back to it in the app store it will let you download it again.
2. If that doesn't work, try restarting your device. If you're not sure how to do this, here's a helpful link.

If trying these 2 things doesn't fix the problem, send us an email. If we can't help you get it working, we'd be happy to refund your money.
Question: I don't see my problem in this FAQ. What should I do?
Answer: Send us an email using the form at right and we promise to get back to you quickly. If we aren't able to help you with your problem, we will gladly refund your money.

Peek-a-Zoo Questions

Question: Some of these apps are outdated. Do plan on updating them in the near future?
Answer: Yes! We are in the process of upgrading all of our apps in anticipation of iOS 11 update. We’ve already got 5 of our kids apps updated and plan to have the remaining 5 updated by the end of this summer. I hope this is good news. We’re a tiny team of 1, so the updates take time, but we’re committed to getting everything updated in time for iOS 11. Thanks so much for your patience. Our apologies if you’re getting the message about one of our apps possibly slowing your phone.
Question: I just upgraded to iOS 9 and now my app isn't working. What should I do?
Answer:

Our apologies. A few new bugs have popped up with the introduction of iOS 9 and we're in the process of fixing them at this moment. We're working to have an update available in the App Store ASAP as we know there are a lot of little ones who expect to see their animals when they want them. If your little one is having a particularly hard time waiting for the update, send us a note and we will try to send you a beta or 'pre-release' version that you can use until the update is available in the App Store. Thanks for your patience!

Question: I just downloaded your app and there's no sound. What's wrong?
Answer:

If the app is working, but you have no sound, your system sounds may be muted. Video and music apps (as well as some other apps) are programmed to 'ignore' your ipad/iphone's mute function, so even if you're able to hear music/sounds from some apps, it is still possible that your 'mute' setting is on.

System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways:
1) Using switch on the side of the iPad (the screen lock rotation can be controlled from here also)
2) from the task bar (accessed by double-tapping the home button).

To check if your sound is muted via the side switch, go to Settings>General> and look for the group titled 'Use Side Switch to:'

  • If the 'Mute' option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds. Check to make sure your side switch is turned off (in the 'up' position). Sound may return at this point.
  • If If the 'Lock Rotation' option is selected, then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds should return.
  • If sound has not returned after performing these steps, please restart your ipad/iphone. Here is a link from Apple on how to do that if you're not sure.

If you continue to have sound problems after this, please send us a note using the form at right and we'd be happy to refund your money.

Question: I can rotate Infant Zoo to landscape mode. Why can't I rotate Infant Faces or Egg Heads?
Answer: We're in the process of updating all our apps to a new codebase that will allow (among other things) our infant apps to work in both landscape and portrait mode. We've released an update to Infant Zoo already (which is why it works in both portrait and landscape) and we are currently in the process of updating Infant Faces and Egg Heads. We are expecting to release updates to these 2 apps in the Fall. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes.
Question: How do I get baby mode to work? When I press the button, nothing happens.
Answer: In order to keep your little one from accidentally start baby mode himself, we made it a little bit more challenging. To start 'baby mode', you have to triple-click (tap the button three times in quick succession) for it to start. Once it's started, to quit, just tap on the slightly hidden home button at the top and that will bring you back to the beginning.
